Our residents love their pets and we do too! As a pet friendly company we not only want to celebrate the animals that live in our buildings, but also support the Seattle animal community as a whole.
As part of our Pillar Passions Program, each quarter we support a charitable organization and provide the opportunity to our residents to give back as well. June kicks off Pillar Loves Pets, during this time we support Seattle Humane and the Seattle Animal Shelter.
At each of our properties we hosted a resident pet event! Residents were encouraged to bring their pups to partake in the fun!
We got lucky with sunny Seattle weather and filled our rooftop decks, patios and lobbies with toys and treats!
Many local pet vendors participated in our events and offered our residents and their pets extra special treats!
The dog gelato and frozen yogurt was definitely the biggest hit! The pictures speak for themselves…
Our pets had plenty of treats so we wanted to do something fun for the residents too. We did our best to keep with the pet theme going with Monster Dogs and Bagel dogs. It was the pet's Yappy Hour so we made sure our residents had their Happy Hour.
At some of the events we even had the Seattle Humane MaxMobile pull right up to the lobby! The bus was ready for on the spot adoptions as well as to answer questions and spread the word about Seattle Humane. Our residents were more than happy to peek inside and give the animals some love!
During these events residents generously brought needed items to donate to the Seattle Animal Shelter and pet food for Seattle Humane.
These events collected over $1,000 worth of donations! We were more than happy to load everything up and bring it to the Seattle Animal Shelter, they were thrilled!
It doesn't get much better than that - food, fun, neighbors and happy pets! Thank you to everyone who participated and a huge thank you to everyone who donated!
